Al Figone's Suggestion Involving Miami Marlins Pitcher Who Shortens The Distance To Home

Hello Brian:

Yes, I did see that pitcher on TV (Marlins vs. Giants) and what he executes with his right foot is obviously legal now. I not sure anyone knows if that one added gain in shortening the distance to home stresses any elbow or shoulder joint. That what I was trying to determine. I'm sure numerous experts have concluded the move or slight step before or after he breaks his hands is legal. But, I am fairly certain it will not be legal in 2016. If not, a lot of young kids will try it and end up injured or screwing up their delivery. I've never seen the move before. I've seen pitchers usually not successfully pitch in front of the rubber maybe 6"-8." A good coach will spot this quickly!

Interesting! I like to see the whole motion in slow-framed sequences.
